Horse Racing Past Performance Selections

The selections section allows you to easily decide whether to include certain past performances (pacelines), the race distance of which is within a range (of your choosing) of today’s distance, and similarly to include or exclude races that were run on a different surface, or track than today’s, depending on your method of handicapping.

The race "Distance" of which is within a range (of your choosing) of today’s race distance. The "All Distances" selection will calculate all past races (pacelines) data. The "Today's Category (Sprint or Route)" selection will only calculate data that matches today's race category, races less than 8 furlongs are Sprints and races 8 furlongs and greater are Routes. The next three selections will only include data within a range of 1 to 3 Furlongs of today's race distance. Some horses like certain distances. If you see a horse that has run especially well at this distance, that is a very strong contender in the race.

The race "Surface" of which can either be Dirt or Turf allows you to choose either the "All Surfaces" selection which will calculate all past races (pacelines) data, Or the "Today's Surface Only" selection which will only calculate data that matches today's race surface. Typically the breeding and physical aspects of a horse make them better on either turf or dirt.

The race "Track" allows you to choose either the "All Tracks " selection which will calculate all past races (pacelines) data, Or the "Today's Track Only" selection which will only calculate data that matches today's race track. Just as some horses like certain distances, some horses just run better at certain tracks or especially well over certain tracks and surfaces.

The "Paceline" selection allows you to choose whether to include certain past races (pacelines), up to ten past races depending on the history of the horse. The selections are "All" selection will calculate all past races (up to 10 pacelines) data. Or only include data within a range of 1 to 9 past races (pacelines) to be calculated. Find which of the previous pacelines predict the best contenders for a particular race.
