InClover Handicapping Basic Use

The basic use is easy, very fast and allows you to look at the race from many different angles based on your personal selections or simply select the InClover’s top picks. We will demonstrate the basic use and functions of the InClover’s main screen to help familiarize you with the layout.

The basic use of the InCover program is based on three documents from which to choose:

1) The “Our Picks” is a list of top contender picks.

2) The “Summary Report” is a detailed customizable report with all calculated information, rank numbers,    and race data included, all based on your own selections.

3) The “Indepth Report” is a complete past performance race card with all calculated information, rank    numbers, and race data included, all based on your own selections.

First you start by opening a Brisnet race file. To open a race file, simply double-click a race file , This will open the file and the InClover Handicapping program at the same time. To import a race into the InClover program, simply click on the menu tabs "File" then "Open". This will immediately bring up the dialog window. Within this dialog window, locate and select the race file you are interested in and click "Open" or simply double click the file. The data file will then load into the InClover program.

If you just want a great rating of today’s top contenders, Click on the menu tabs " View" , then "Our Picks" and you will see InClover’s top picks in descending order for that day. You can also hit the “Our Picks” button for a display for each race. Of course, you can Print and Save this document as well.

After opening a race file, you want to look at the “ Race Information” section in the lower left corner to understand what type of race this is.

You will also see to the right of the “Race Information” another section titled “Comments”, these are key details about each horse in today’s race.

Other initial information you will see is within the data grid and includes the following:

Next, look at the “Selections” section, to make your choices based on your personal handicapping style. Among the many approaches available, the following is just one example. The below selections will only calculate the three most recent pacelines that were at today’s distance and were raced on today’s surface at today’s track.

Once you have decided on your selections, you can either click the “Calculate” button to calculate just current race or click the “Calculate All” button to calculate all the races of current race day.

The top Contenders, based on your criterion, will now display in the upper left corner under Contenders.

Note: Each horse now has a “Rank” number based on your criterion and the Contenders section reflects the top three of this rating system.

See below for a description of the calculated data for each horse.
